Metal Display Case Shatterproof Glass, 5 Shelves — Vinyl Record Storage Display Factory
French Arch Glass Door Steel Display Cabinet — Vinyl Record Collection Storage
Models: VRS-2000-WH (Matte White) / VRS-2000-BK (Matte Black)
Built for vinyl collectors
2000mm tall, 400mm wide, 350mm deep. 4 adjustable shelves, tempered glass door with a French arch curve. Matte white or matte black finish.
If you’ve been collecting vinyl for a while, you know the problem: records pile up on the floor, stacked in cardboard boxes, leaning against walls. This cabinet gives your collection a home. Shelves adjust up and down — no tools needed — so 12-inch record sleeves sit upright without tipping over.

Why steel for vinyl storage
Vinyl records need two things to stay in good shape: dry conditions and upright positioning.
Wooden furniture absorbs moisture and can warp over time. Once a shelf bows, records lean, and the weight distorts sleeves permanently. Steel shelves don’t warp. They stay flat year after year, decade after decade.
Steel also doesn’t attract pests. Particle board or solid wood can harbor insects. Steel can’t.
What the tempered glass door does
The glass is tempered, not standard glass. It handles temperature shifts better and, if broken, crumbles into small instead of sharp shards.
The real function is dust prevention. Dust in a record groove creates pops and crackles during playback. A closed glass door keeps that out. The transparency means you can see your entire collection at a glance — no need to open doors to find what you’re looking for.
A lock sits behind the glass. Useful if the cabinet is in a shared space, a living room, or anywhere someone might pull records out casually.

Metal Display Case Shatterproof Glass, 5 Shelves Shelf spacing
Shelves lock into metal tabs. Adjusting them takes a few seconds by hand.
A standard 12-inch vinyl sleeve is about 320mm tall. Set shelf gaps to 330-350mm for a comfortable fit. Some reissues or deluxe editions are thicker — those might need 370-400mm gaps.
How many records per shelf depends on how you arrange them:
- Upright, side by side: about 25-30 records per shelf
- Stacked flat: about 40-50 records per shelf
Upright is better for long-term preservation. Stacking works if you need maximum capacity and rotate your collection frequently.
The cabinet has 5 storage levels (4 adjustable shelves + fixed base). At upright capacity, that’s roughly 125-150 records total. Adjust to your own collection size.
Which color fits your space
Matte White: Clean, neutral, works with Scandinavian, Japanese, or light-toned interiors. White disappears against light-colored walls, keeping the focus on your turntable and speakers. Pairs well with silver or light wood equipment.
Matte Black: Low-profile, almost invisible in dark rooms. Pairs naturally with dark furniture, industrial setups, or studio environments. The record sleeves become the visual centerpiece — not the cabinet.
Both finishes use electrostatic powder coating, not paint. Powder coating adheres at the molecular level, so it won’t peel or chip the way paint does over time. The surface has a subtle texture — like an eggshell — that resists fingerprints. Wipe it down occasionally; that’s all the maintenance it needs.

Where this cabinet fits
Living room listening corner: Place it next to your turntable setup. Guests notice it, and it gives the space a curated feel rather than a “just throw it there” vibe.
Dedicated listening room: If you have a separate room for music, line a wall with these cabinets. The top can hold a receiver or speakers (check weight — amplifiers can be heavy, bottom shelf is safest for heavy items).
Record shop display area: Many shops use open shelving. This works better if you want display + storage in one unit. The glass shows off sleeve artwork while keeping dust off the vinyl.
Studio or radio booth: Fast access matters in a working environment. Glass doors let you scan for the right record without fumbling through doors.
Moving it in
2000mm tall, 400mm wide, 350mm deep. About 28kg empty.
The cabinet is narrower than most standard door frames, so it passes through residential hallways and elevators in newer buildings without trouble.
For older buildings with narrow elevators, measure the inside dimensions first. If it doesn’t fit, the glass door is removable — it uses screws, not adhesive. Take the door off, bring the frame through, reattach the door on site.
No casters on the base. Two people can carry it. If you need mobility, mention it when ordering — we can swap in locking casters for roughly 50-80 CNY per unit, depending on specs.
How we make it
The frame is cold-rolled steel. After welding, the entire unit goes through electrostatic powder coating — not spray paint.
Powder coating applies a dry powder charged with static electricity. It bonds to the metal under high heat (around 200°C in the curing oven) and forms a smooth, durable shell. No solvents, no fumes during application, and no paint odor when it arrives.
Matte finishes are harder to spray than gloss. The factory applies two coats — primer + top coat — to avoid orange peel texture and ensure even coverage. What you get is a uniform, slightly textured surface, not a plasticky shine.
Color consistency: every batch uses powder from the same supplier and lot number. Minor variation between batches is physically unavoidable in powder coating. If you’re ordering in stages — 2 units now, 2 more in three months — note “same batch” in your order and we’ll coordinate production accordingly.
Glass door details
Tempered glass, standard thickness for this product category. The arch curve is heat-formed, not assembled from pieces. Every door from the same mold has the same arc.
The lock uses a standard cross-key cylinder. Keys are interchangeable within the same production batch (meaning one key opens all cabinets from that batch). If batch-level key sharing is a concern — common with B2B buyers — specify “non-interchangeable keys” when ordering.

Common questions
How many records fit?
Upright side-by-side: about 25-30 per shelf, roughly 125-150 total across 5 levels. If you stack flat, more. Upright is better for preservation.
Can the glass be frosted or printed?
Yes. Send us vector artwork (AI or CDR format). We can screen-print directly onto the glass. Screen printing requires a minimum order of about 50 units. For smaller runs, UV printing is an option — it’s less durable long-term, but works for under 50 units.
Can I order it without the glass door?
Yes. Specify “no door” when ordering and we skip the glass and hinges. The price comes down slightly.
Lead time?
Standard colors in stock: 3-7 days domestic, 30-45 days sea freight or 7-12 days air freight internationally. Custom colors or dimensions: 15-20 days.
Payment terms?
Domestic: payment before shipment. Long-term customers can apply for net-30 after credit review. International first orders: 30% deposit, balance before shipment. We provide a Bill of Lading copy as proof of shipment.
Does it come assembled?
Yes — fully assembled, ready to use out of the box. If you need flat-pack to reduce shipping cost, we can do that too. Flat-pack requires assembly on site; we include screws and a basic instruction sheet.
About Luoyang Hengna
We’re a self-operated factory in Luoyang’s Luolong District with over a decade of experience in steel furniture.
This arched-glass display line came out in 2024 after we noticed growing demand from individual buyers and boutique retailers — not just industrial and medical clients. We added the French arch detail to differentiate from the flat-door market.
If you’re a distributor or e-commerce seller looking to carry this product, we offer OEM and custom color options. Minimum order quantities depend on customization. Reach out to discuss.
